NOTES ON THE MEETING OF LLANGYBI COMMUNITY COUNCIL HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL, LLANGYBI ON TUESDAY 18 MARCH 2008
PLANNING
The following planning applications were received from MCC:-
DC/2008/00162 – White House Farm, Ton Road, Llangybi – Extension to portal framed farm buildings to form straw & feed store.
Recommended APPROVAL
DC/2008/01533 – Crofton Mead, Coed-y-Paen – Outline planning – proposed bungalow within curtilage of Crofton Mead.
After a site meeting and consultation with neighbours the Community Council felt that it was not able to support this application.. Disappointment was expressed at the conflict of views within MCC viz Sarah Bessell and Randah Jordan in the definition of ‘infill’. There were views regarding soakaway drainage, land ownership of entry lane and the fact that what is proposed is outside the natural building line.
Recommended REFUSAL
DC/2008/00273 Pictor, Coed-y-Paen – Ground floor extensions & alterations to provide garden room, bedrooms, bathroom, dressing room, kitchen, utility room and terraces.
Recommended APPROVAL
DC/2008/00112 Land at Llanddewi Court, Treherbert Road – Retention of existing track. Stock pen area. Formation of proposed track to service proposed haybarn.
There were representatives present for the applicant and three neighbouring residents.Clearly there were major disagreements. Councillors agreed that the matter needs to be referred to the Planning Department who have already had discussions with all parties. Council had many concerns about the piecemeal nature of all the plans and developments at Llanddewi Court and consider an overall view needs to be taken in the future. The Council was unable to make a firm decision.
